Helen Chalmers

Helen studied Jewellery and Metal Design at Duncan of Jordanstone, graduating with BDes (Hons) in 2011. 

Since then she has established her business in Edinburgh and currently works from her dedicated workshop in South Queensferry. 

Helen specialises in the use of hot glass and supplementary materials created in an oxygen/propane mix flame with a technique known as 'lampworking'. It dates back to Ancient Egypt, where oil lamps were the heat source. It has a rich history in Murano, Venice and has enjoyed a recent resurgence, especially in North America.
